Division and Research Administrator
Annette Lyles joined the Division of Neuromuscular Medicine in April of 1992, and currently provides pre- and post-award support to Principal Investigators seeking funding support through a variety of federal agencies and non-federal organizations. She provides analytical and financial support in proposal processing, contract and grant administration, and budget development. She manages a program budget of over $3 million in both federal and private research funds She acts as the liaison between PI, Sponsored Projects Offices, and funding agencies. This involves activities associated with managing of research efforts by performing some or all of the following: coordinating and developing a final proposal product in accordance with institutional and agency requirements, administering and monitoring contract and grant awards, including subcontact/subaward administration in compliance with regulations, terms and conditions.
Annette is also the program coordinator for the Neuromuscular Medicine Fellowship program at Northwestern McGaw. She assists the program director in the organizing, recruiting, and interviewing process for the program. She coordinates and maintains accurate documentation related to the trainees’ duty hours, procedures, research projects, training requirements, conference attendance, schedules and absences. She alerts the program director of any deficiencies that would negatively impact compliance with ACGME requirements.
